If You Like It You Shoulda Put A Ring On It

One of our designers here at Jack Morton, Angie, runs a fantastic little badge company,
called, amazingly
The Big Little Badge Co.
Here she is
It's a great idea
Everyone loves a badge, don't they?.
They're a bright, eye catching and practical souvenir of a great experience.
Brands love badges too.
They sometimes obsess over their logos
(a badge by any other name)
Fussing about backgrounds
Exclusion zones
Point size
But are they missing something?
Even the world's best designed logo is little more than an aide memoire.
They remind consumers of their experience with a brand.
But they can never replicate or improve upon the experience itself.
No wonder sometimes we all refer to the logo police
Maybe the focus should be on other elements of the brand DNA
As leaders in the field of Brand Experience, we believe that brand guidelines should spend as much time on the way people speak, act and interact as they do on where the logo sits.
Its a just a matter of paying attention to the things that matter most to the audience.
Think about it.
If someone offered you tickets to see your favourite band or a badge with their name on it,
Which would you choose.
Now where do I collect my S Club 7 tickets?
