It’s both a blessing and a curse to be so good at something that you make it look easy.
One the one hand, you can take an enormous sense of pride from knowing what a great job you’ve done.
The downside is that no-one ever knows how much effort you really put in.
Every day we look at the work we do and marvel at how fantastic it is.
But then we wish that our colleagues and clients appreciated how much work went into it.
The sad fact is, nobody cares but you.
Nor should they.
As a consequence, we can’t ever really ask ourselves “Have we done enough?”
Because there’s always more that can be done.
Especially when we’re the ones who keep raising the bar.
